Techweise steam cleaners are known for their many accessories. But what do you use each accessory for? Weโre happy to explain below:
- (floor nozzle): Ideal for cleaning hard floors (tiles, laminate) in combination with the microfiber cloths.
- White furniture accessory/anti-scratch cloth: Suitable for cleaning dust or scratch-sensitive surfaces such as sofas, induction cooktops, range hoods, etc.
- Black nylon brushes: For scrubbing and cleaning stubborn dirt on small surfaces, grout lines, faucets, etc. The different materials are suitable for various surfaces (e.g., brass for stubborn dirt on the BBQ and nylon for softer surfaces).
- Green scouring sponge: For surfaces you would normally clean with a scouring sponge. For example, the sink, drain, tiles, etc.
- Jet nozzle: Creates a concentrated steam jet for cleaning small crevices, corners, grout lines, and hard-to-reach spots.
- Window squeegee: For streak-free cleaning of windows, mirrors, tiles, and other smooth surfaces. The steam loosens the dirt, and the rubber strip removes it.
- Carpet glider: For refreshing and disinfecting carpets. Attach this to the mop head along with the microfiber cloth to steam the carpet.
1. Use a small brush. Attach it to the jet nozzle (see manual).
2. Then scrub back and forth over the surface to be cleaned.
3. If you have stubborn dirt that wonโt come off, you can always use some bleach. Only use this as a last resort.
4. Enjoy your clean grout!
Are you struggling with heavy, stubborn dirt that wonโt come off completely? Then you can always use some bleach. Only use this as a last resort. You can pour bleach into a bottle and mix it with water. Spray this on the grout and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then steam again.
There are several ways to clean windows. Below you will find two effective methods:
Cleaning windows with the squeegee: watch the video here
1. Attach the triangular brush and the white cloth to the gun.
2. Then clean the entire window with the white cloth.
3. Next, click the window squeegee onto the gun.
Note: do not use steam while squeegeeing. Otherwise, the window will stay wet.
Hold the squeegee slightly angled on the window instead of straight up and down. This prevents streaks. Now squeegee the entire window dry.
Still getting streaks? Instead of the squeegee, use a dry microfiber cloth to dry the window.
2. Cleaning windows with the microfiber cloth: Watch the video here
1. First, attach the extension pole to the gun. Then, reattach the triangular brush to the extension pole.
After the triangular brush is attached, it is important to steam briefly before wrapping the white microfiber cloth around the triangular brush. This ensures that excess water is removed from the machine first and the white cloth does not become too wet.
2. Always test the steaming first on an inconspicuous spot, then slowly move back and forth over the surface to be cleaned.
The hot steam at 100ยฐC kills all bacteria. Also, avoid steaming in one spot for too long; keep moving continuously. Your mattress is now completely cleaned and bacteria-free!
You can use the steam cleaner to clean various types of sofas, but it is important to consider the material of the sofa. Here are some guidelines:
Suitable for steam cleaning (always check this yourself in your sofaโs manual):
- Fabric sofas
- Microfiber sofas
Not suitable or use with caution:
- Leather and suede sofas
- Velvet sofas
- Wooden or metal parts
Tips for safe use:
- First: Always test the steam cleaner on an inconspicuous area of the sofa to see how the material reacts.
- Drying time: Make sure the sofa can dry well after cleaning to prevent mold growth.
- Accessories: Use the right attachments (triangle brush and white anti-scratch cloth) and keep the steam cleaner moving to avoid soaking the fabric.
Suitable for steam cleaning:
- Synthetic carpets
- Low-pile or flat-woven carpets
- Stain-resistant carpets
- Low-pile or flat-woven carpets
Carpets with a low pile can be cleaned more easily with steam because the moisture penetrates less deeply into the fibers.
Stain-resistant carpets
Carpets with a special coating or impregnation for stain protection are generally suitable, but check the manufacturer's recommendations.
You can remove loosened dirt with water and dish soap. To disinfect the brushes, soak them in boiling water for 5 minutes. This kills bacteria. The anti-scratch cloth and mop pads can be washed at 60 degrees.
No, steam and sealant edges are not a match. The high steam pressure removes the sealant edge. Always try to clean sealant edges with a soft cloth.
