Most popular for the weekly deep clean
Techweise steam cleaners are known for their many accessories. But what do you use each accessory for? We’re happy to explain below:
- (floor nozzle): Ideal for cleaning hard floors (tiles, laminate) in combination with the microfiber cloths.
- White furniture accessory/anti-scratch cloth: Suitable for cleaning fabric or scratch-sensitive surfaces such as sofas, induction cooktops, extractor hoods, etc.
- Black nylon brushes: For scrubbing and cleaning stubborn dirt on small surfaces, grout, faucets, etc. The different materials are suitable for various surfaces (e.g., brass for stubborn dirt on the BBQ and nylon for softer surfaces).
- Green scouring pad: For surfaces that you would normally clean with a scouring pad, such as the sink, drain, tiles, etc.
- Jet nozzle: Creates a concentrated jet of steam for cleaning small gaps, corners, grout, and hard-to-reach areas.
- Window squeegee: For streak-free cleaning of windows, mirrors, tiles, and other smooth surfaces. The steam loosens the dirt, and the rubber strip removes it.
- Carpet glider: For freshening up and disinfecting carpets. Attach it to the floor head together with the microfiber cloth to steam-clean the carpet.
1. Use a small brush. Attach it to the jet nozzle (see the manual).
2. Then scrub back and forth over the surface you want to clean.
3. Dealing with heavy, stubborn dirt that won’t all come off? You can always use a little bleach. Only do this as a last resort.
4. Enjoy your clean grout!
Are you dealing with heavy, stubborn dirt that isn't all being removed? You can always use a little bleach. Only do this as a last resort. Pour bleach into a spray bottle and mix it with water. Spray this onto the grout and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then steam again.
There are several ways to clean windows. Below are two effective methods:
Cleaning the windows with the squeegee: watch the video here
1. Attach the triangular brush and the white cloth to the gun.
2. Then clean the entire window with the white cloth.
3. Next, attach the window squeegee to the gun.
Note: do not use steam. Otherwise, the window will remain wet.
Hold the squeegee at a slight angle against the window instead of completely straight. This will prevent streaks. Now dry the entire window.
Are you still getting streaks? Then do not use the squeegee, but use a dry microfiber cloth to dry the window.
2. Cleaning the windows with the microfiber cloth: Watch the video here
1. First, attach the extension pole to the gun. Then attach the triangular brush to the extension pole again.
Once the triangular brush has been attached, it is important to steam briefly before wrapping the white microfiber cloth around the triangular brush, so that excess water is removed from the machine first and the white cloth does not become too wet.
2. Always test the steam first on an inconspicuous area, then slowly move back and forth over the surface being cleaned.
The hot steam at 100°C kills all bacteria. Also, do not steam in one place for too long; keep moving continuously. Your mattress is now completely clean and bacteria-free!
You can use the steam cleaner to clean various types of sofas, but it is important to consider the sofa’s material. Here are some guidelines:
Suitable for steam cleaning (always check this yourself in your sofa’s manual):
- Fabric sofas
- Microfiber sofas
Not suitable or requires caution:
- Leather and suede sofas
- Velvet sofas
- Wooden or metal parts
Tips for safe use:
- First: Always test the steam cleaner on an inconspicuous area of the sofa to see how the material reacts.
- Drying time: Make sure the sofa can dry properly after cleaning to prevent mold growth.
- Accessories: Use the appropriate attachments (triangular brush and white scratch-resistant cloth) and keep the steam cleaner moving to prevent the fabric from becoming too wet.
Suitable for steam cleaning:
- Synthetic carpets
- Low-pile or flat-woven carpets
- Stain-resistant carpets
- Low-pile or flat-woven carpets
Low-pile carpets can be steam-cleaned more easily because the moisture does not penetrate as deeply into the fibers.
Stain-resistant carpets
Carpets with a special coating or impregnation for stain protection are generally suitable, but check the manufacturer’s recommendations.
You can remove loose dirt with water and dish soap. To disinfect the brushes, place them in boiling water for 5 minutes. This will kill bacteria. The anti-scratch cloth and mop pads can be washed at 60 degrees.
No, steam and sealant joints are not a good match. The high steam pressure can remove the sealant. Always try to clean sealant joints with a soft cloth.
